Armed Violence Reduction: Enabling Development

Book

'Armed Violence Reduction: Enabling Development' is a new publication of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). It was approved by the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) in January 2009 and published in book format in March 2009.

The good practices and examples outlined in this publication are intended to help and inform programme staff on the ground in their efforts to reduce armed violence, which claims approximately 740,000 lives each year and has far-reaching human and developmental costs.

A read-only copy of the publication is available on http://browse.oecdbookshop.org/oecd/pdfs/browseit/4309151E.PDF

Hard copies as well as more details around the publication can be provided by the OECD's International Network on Conflict and Fragility (INCAF) secretariat.
