Linda Grund-Clampit was one of the founders of Polk County Prays for Peace, founded in 2002 as a response to the war in Iraq. People gather on the fourth Saturday of every month to pray for peace and encourage peacemaking in the community of Polk County. Gatherings take place in public places, throughout the county.


Linda Grund-Camplit used to serve as Campus Minister to Western Oregon University. Though now farming her family's land, she still leads the monthly prayer services.
