Bethany Memorial Church, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Dr.John Hull, in collaboration with Professor Herb Weaver teaches a course at Bethany College called the Art and Science of Peace. Hull is a research psychologist who leads the science portion of the course, teaching students about how non-human primates live peacefully and resolve conflicts with minimum violence, as well as explaining how humans develop their ability to manage conflict.

This course also teaches students about the implications of peace issues in art, while requiring students to create their own art projects in which they learn about the creative energy needed for peace. These projects affect not only the students creating them, but the rest of the student body and the community that views them.
